This has to be seen to be believed

Postby Oldfool » Mon Feb 15, 2010 4:04 am

So, as usual, I was mooching about on ebay. Then, I spotted a listing which I had to look at. I have a wide and varied collection, but there is always something which takes me a bit by surprise. So, for your delectation, I give you a unique opportunity to view a SW item which is quite simply beyond anything I'd yet seen.

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks, and even more, would you bid on it? Anyone else have any SW items which are so far out of the box?

That is just funny.

However to be fair to the seller, that is quite a good sculpt.

I won't be bidding though

I love that, could start off a whole new craze in novelty star wars goods.

Sent the guy this email

"Dude, that is the best thing related to SW i have seen in ages, what a great novelty item....I admit it is very well crafted, but wouldn't it be easier to have made a Death Star??

What else are you thinking of making because I would love a Snowspeeder!

May the force be with you!

Steve!"

The seller sent me an email back today, this is it.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the support!

A Death Star may well be on the way in the future but it wasn't a
question of what was easier I just sort of went for it :)
This is my second SW Blu Tack model, shame you missed the
Falcon. It is now owned by the guy currently holding the highest
bid for the Landspeeder. If you send me your e-mail address I
can send you the pics!

And Snowspeeder!! How weird is that! It happens to be the
model I'm half way through at the minute (and proving to be the
most difficult....)

Regards.

Kenny

I think we need this chap so I have invited him to join us! What a great idea...................of down the post office to buy some blue tack right now!

Ha Ha - Brilliant :D

I also sent him a message - saying it was superb and wish him well for the auction, must admit I forgot to invite him to the NJO :( but what a fine addition someone like that would make to the NJO crew :D

Hi Aelene,
Blu Tack is rather like plastacine, but is of a consistancy which lets you use it to stick posters to the wall, etc. It's been around since the early '80's, and they now make White Tack. Unlike plastacine, it doesn't dry out, or at least not quickly, so it stays useable. You probably have something like it in the US but under a different name.
