B&C is superb, a damned shame they decided not to go ahead with a series proper. They just chopped the pilot episode up, which to me is daft. Surely they'd have made money if they just released it straight to DVD, isn't that the point for these companies? What's worse is that I haven't heard any news of further BSG related series. Looks like, as with B5, it's a full stop.

I know it sounds stupid, but why? How can they make it pay when they only release it for free on the net? I've seen the episodes on Facebook and YouTube, both free of charge. Surely the idea is to make a series, make a profit on it, (through network, foreign sales or advertising, depending on who makes it) and use that to make more series. I like the idea of free TV but it is unsustainable without relying on other sources of revenue.

I think, perhaps, B&C isn't being made into a TV series is that it is too reliant on Adama. BSG was about a whole range of characters, their relationships, and so on. Caprica was the opposite to B&C, and was just too isoteric to begin with. It came together in the second half of the series, when they had four seasons worth of story to tell in a handful of episodes, but by then it was too late.

Me, I'd like a new series based in the Cylon war, not involving any of the original characters. I'd have it begin just before the war started, (yes I know that's very much BSG, but to have a series based on the war you need to see how it starts) and I'd have the series end with the Armistice. Maybe Adama and Tigh could be introduced along the way, maybe it could even be aboard the Galactica, but that's what would work.

Darth Aelene and I have finally started watching Walking Dead. We're almost done with season 2 now. Aelene hates Horror of any kind. For her to be watching this means its a good series.

The Mrs would never watch anything like a Zombie movie.

But she is just as obsessed with it as I am.

Agreed Mark, saw Prometheus at the cinema, first showing first day, even booked the day of work to see it, and tell you what, it wasn't what I thought, didn't know if I liked it or not, but on the second viewing, I really like it, another master piece from Ridley to rank with Alien and Blade Runner. Just waiting for the next Blade Runner instalment, should prove to be interesting viewing.
