Highly recommend the new Evil Dead remake, maybe not as shock factor as the original at tye time, but still a worthy remake in a time of crappy remakes.

Never even seen the original. But maybe now is the time.

a dvd I can HIGHLY recommend is "perks of being a wallflower" really really enjoyed it. The 3 leads are superb in it.
(Actually just reading the book - also superb)

RoboCop remake: OK, but lacking the charm of the original.

The remake was terrible, pointless movie.

Mostly been buying the old comedy shows on cheap DVD box sets but the most up to date film I have seen would be Star Trek into Darkness. As the new franchise goes it is quite good to be honest, pure eye candy adrenaline special effects but it got me going!
