Angry Birds Star Wars

You guys probably already know about the Star wars-ised version of Angry Birds due for release on 8 November, but now the first gameplay movie clip is available at MacRumors.com ...

First Gameplay Video of Angry Birds Star Wars
Angry Birds Star Wars will be released on 8 November, but today we get our first view of actual gameplay. The game plays like the standard Angry Birds, but with a Star Wars-themed twist. The video shows birds using the Force and wielding a light saber to smash the Darkside-using Pigs.

Typical for Rovio games, Angry Birds Star Wars will be available for Mac OS and iOS [and almost every other system under the Sun].

Flash Video Clip

Might have to buy an iPhone or iPad just to play this. ;)

Have seen the new stuff in Tesco's the other day, really sorry to say that I really like the multi pack designed like the original early bird set, if it wasn't £9.99 I would have had it.

I did buy two of the smaller ones in the single packs, here they are.

Stormy and Luke Jedi....quite cool really.

Yep, the Angry Birds Star Wars toys are in some shops down here in New Zealand too. I've seen the "Early Birds" figure packs, the random foil bag 2-figure packs, and about three different "knock-em-down" packs ... but I think they're over-priced as well. I'm not sure they'll sell very well. Most collectors down here are only interested in the 3 3/4" figures and the more expensive (imported) 12" figurines. The other stuff like the Star Wars Beanz, Fighter Pods, and Star Wars Slingers just clog up the shelves (in the end one chain of shops was selling the Slingers medallions at NZ$1, toughly UK30p, per pack just to get rid of them!).

I think it's for kids mainly, when I bought these it was age groups 5 - 10 that were interested. There may be some adult collectors who specialise but I think mainly this is for the kids.

if you shop at tesco regular use your vouchers £5 voucher converted to a £10 toy voucher

I got the early bird set for free

then the next day went back and found a 5" stormie plush and the darth vader lightsaber jenga style pack cashed in 2 more vouchers and paid just £3 now thats a bargain to be had

Great idea Mark, never thought of that, but then the Mrs has all the vouchers so I can't get one for SW stuff sadly
